enlisted housing section of the local USAF base. MAFB initially consisted entirely of former members of the House of the Sephiros (HS) guild, but broke away due to guild inactivity, and started their own guild to promote activity within themsevles.
The Founding Members (or Founders if you will) included:
- Fullmana Alchemist
- Lavine Rhia
- Zander Redmoon
- CougarThe Monk
- Helos R Cool
- Kesla Kan
Though the guild was small, these friends were happy to just be themselves for the time being. Then, in Feburary 2007, tragedy struck: Helos and Fullmana, who both worked at the same hospital, lost three friends when the Mercy Flight medical transport helicopter that they were flying in crashed outside their destination.
Fullmana, leading the guild since its inception, re-dedicated the guild's purpose ; MAFB would exist to help others without question or payment. It would be there to help those who needed it. MAFB's cape and colors, red and white, which are the colors of the Mercy Flight team, were adopted by MAFB, and the Peagsus logo symbolizes MAFB's commitment to riding to the help and rescue of those who needed.
As the march of time carried on, MAFB worked to fulfill it's mission. Along the way, many long-time members of MAFB came into the fold. With the help and contacts of Kesla and Cougar, MAFB started the Starvin' Chillin' Alliance by adding their first alliance member, Celestials Vengeance (FINE). Slowly other guilds have come and gone, and MAFB has picked up many loyal members and friends who stay in touch with the alliance over the two years it has been in existence.
Some of MAFB's more notable events include:
- February 23rd, 2008 - MAFB establishes the Monument to Those Who Are Kind Of A Big Deal, commemorating those MAFB and SCA members, past and present, who have earned their Kind of a Big Deal Title.
- March 1st, 2008 - MAFB moved from it's free web-host to its own dot com, and www.mafbguild.com is born!
- March 21st, 2008 - MAFB and the SCA clears Urgoz's Warren for the first time
- April 18th, 2008 - MAFB clears FoW for the third time.
- May 9th, 2008 - MAFB, with the help of its SCA allies, conqured The Deep for the first time
- May 10th, 2008 - SCA members Fullmana Alchemist (MAFB), Lord Bahamut | Ra (ew), Phatterina Daddi (FINE), Milmar Woot (ew), and Marc Roen (ew) completed the Unwakening Waters mission in a record 5:44 on Hard Mode
- July 12th, 2008 - MAFB's GvG team went 3-3, taking 16th place in the Casual Division of the Guild Wars Guru GvG Tournament.
- February 04th,2009 -SCA Members Fullmana,Laria,Kesla,Wu Tang and Ronin of (MAFB) along with Pippen Little Hottie,Baroness Lydya and Neo the Rose of (TWHF) clear FOW in 1hr-54mins Non Speedclear.
- June 2009-Mafb and SCA members clear Urgoz's Warren in Hard Mode
- October 02-2009 Urgoz Raid NM in under 2 hours and finished with only a prot monk at Urgoz, since 2 healers had to go afk, Smooth flawless raid.
MAFB continues to live its philosophy by helping new and inexperienced members with getting used to Guild Wars, missions, and forming raiding parties for elite areas like Urgoz's Warren and The Deep.
